If we want to hold a Kairos Works Award and have an award for the most gokil client, I think we must consider this client. They have the whole criteria to win this award.
What can I say? They both are super fun, chill to the core, popular, expressive, and total opposites, yet they complete each other like coffee and milk in a cappuccino. Meiling is super duper loud, this “Yassss!” girl always know how to lighten up the atmosphere. And Riyan, even though people will think that he is a quiet and calm guy, deep inside of him, he has an extraordinary humorist side that only those who are close to him know about.
Their wedding was a wedding that I was waiting for so bad, because I knew that this wedding would be super fun, surrounded by friends and people that are close to their hearts. And yes, it was super fun!
The one thing I remember the most when we were there was witnessing how they exchanged their vows That was one of the moments that we were waiting for, and I believe all their relatives did too. The chapel was so packed with people at that time, and I remember we kept on adding more and more chairs so that people had a place to sit. We run out the chairs eventually, and the rest of the guests had to stand. It was very personal, all the people were excited to be there, and we wanted to feel the happiness that Riyan and Meiling felt that day. There were cries and laughter mixed into one. Can you imagine? This moment united with the joy on that day. The vow was so deep and real, and when the pastor asked Riyan whether he would love Meiling in good days and bad days, in richer and poorer, in sickness and in health, and until death do they apart, instead of saying “I do”, with a loud convincing voice, Riyan said “I can! I Surely can!!!”
And suddenly the whole room was filled with deep laughter, clapping hands, and cheers.
There were lots of moments that I can still remember in this wedding, that if I were to share with you all, it will need at least 10 pages in this blog. But that day, once again, I witnessed Love and its power completing someone. It was so wonderful to be there and to feel that!
Congratulations Riyan & Meiling, whatever life brings you, it is not to be seen as an obstacle, but something that you can concur! I know you guys can. You surely can!!
Cheers!
