Love speaks with different languages. It understands the unspoken. It knows what floats inside our mind. It sees what’s hidden behind the wall and can feel the deepest feeling in the corner of the heart.

We commonly say everything that must be spoken out loud, so we can understand all the feelings we have and the attentions we bring. We are not God who can see through the hearts. But love, itself, is the language of God. When you’re deeply in love, silence speaks louder than words.

This is the message that I got from Peter and Resy. When we assisted them through their engagement and wedding preparations, I noticed what a fun couple they are! Resy is the typical calm and sweet girl and Peter is a really playful guy and very unique. I must say, when I first met Peter, he was never serious about anything most of the times, and most of our conversations were all jokes and more jokes. I'm that kind of person too, so I can relate :D. But compared to the calmer and sweet Resy, sometimes I wonder how this unique combination works. This was still a mystery until we photographed their prewedding in a tropical island of Nusa Penida, Bali.

So during our break time, I asked Resy about this, and about how fun their relationship is as Peter can make her feel happy everyday with the unlimited amount of jokes he tells every single minute. But Resy answered me with a more heartfelt answer. She said, "I am not only happy when we’re together, I feel special as well. I know most of the time, he can be such a joker and can never be serious. But every time I have a problem, he can turn serious and becomes extremely caring. He is the only person that can calm me down and make me forget about all my problems.

I remember one thing. I once had problem with someone, and it made me very angry and crazy. Peter called me on the phone to calm me down. Meanwhile, he was in Moscow, and he could care less about the high international call rates and called me until his phone ran out of battery. This is why he always wins my heart. You know, the world is so much better these days, and there are lots of people or places that can make you feel really happy, but this man, he can make me feel happy and special at the same time."

When I heard that answer, I suddenly got the point. Love speaks in different languages. It understands the unspoken. It knows what floats inside our mind. It sees what’s hidden behind the walls and can feel the deepest feeling in the corner of the heart. And this is the only language God speaks through us, His beloved creature.

Love,
